about
This website is dedicated to the art of the group – ART73. We are still evolving how the site will look. Check out our Blog for info, tips, and musings.
Why 73? Evelyn's favorite number has always been 7 and Sefla's has been 3. That was the basis for choosing the number - additional benefits of '73' are that it is a prime number, which makes it unique/one of a kind, a mathematical mystery. The mirror of it is '37', also a prime number. Numerologically it represents freedom, creativity, and creative expression.

We are currently doing online classes and the students that we are working with will be featured on this website. For now you can see some of our work in the FaceBook group Drawing/Any Art A Day |

Evelyn Markasky grew up in an edgy little steel town in Youngstown, Ohio. Early on she was fascinated by images of her face, drawing self-portraits and contour drawings almost every day for years. A lifelong search of the eternal question ‘who am I’ and ‘where do I come from?’ She has participated for several years in Santa Cruz Open Studios and facilitated an art class for Shared Adventures for over 10 years. You can usually find her in her studio obsessively drawing and creating metal work.
